The Buckland Bounder started in 2016 and is held annually during the Buckland Monachorum Summer Fair which is always on the second Saturday of June. The purpose of the summer fair, apart from getting everyone together for a fun afternoon and evening, is to fund raise for the village. The Buckland Bounder is proud to be part of the south west fell runners, Dartmoor series. The profits from the Buckland Bounder are put into that fund and divided up among local causes.
